Prep Sports Writer
The Herald and News is seeking a full-time prep sports writer to cover ten local high schools and a wealth of other sports in the region.
The successful candidate must be a self-starter, able to multi-task, shoot photos, take short videos and be well versed in social media. Podcasting abilities is a plus. The job is Tuesdays through Saturdays, mostly late afternoon early evening shifts. Desk work and copy editing is a large part of the position as well. This is a demanding job, but has a great potential for advancement. Past reporters have moved on to larger metro dailies.
The position includes medical, dental and eye coverage as well as paid time off.
