Bilingual High School Equivalency Program Coordinator
The High School Equivalency Program (HEP) provides educational opportunities that will include effective outreach and recruitment, instruction, and support services for migrant farm worker family students. Programs will be tailored to meet student needs and will provide wraparound support services for participating students, including education and career services for small student groups and one-on-one. The HEP Coordinator contributes to the successful implementation and management of HEP program services and objectives in accordance with the grant.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or a combination of education and work experience in a similar setting
- Experience in project coordination data collection, and reporting; experience working with diverse populations; experience working with migrant education or providing services for a migrant population
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited institution
- Experience in budget management
- Experience understanding mentoring issues
- Knowledge of campus and community resources
- Similarity in background to that of project participants
- Bicultural background
- Demonstrated sensitivity and experience working with individuals from diverse social, economic, ethnic, academic, disability, and cultural backgrounds
Salary: $17.54 - $26.31 Hourly
