Step Range: 53 $120,923 – 72 $212,039 Full-Time Benefits Regular – Full -Time The Behavioral Health Director is responsible for the executive oversight of the Behavioral Health Clinic ensuring that all behavioral health services are implemented, culturally integrated, and readily accessible. This position will serve as a member of the KTHFS Leadership team and will collaborate with the Health General Manager and Governing Body of the Klamath Tribes for fiscal planning, performance measurements, quality improvement, policy, and growth. The Behavioral Health Director will lead the Youth & Family Guidance Center (YFGC) Supervisory staff in the development of services, ensuring that they are delivered in accordance with tribal, state, federal guidelines and licensure requirements. This position will work closely with County, State, and Tribal agencies for consultation and collaboration purposes.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. 2. Identify, review, write, and direct grant proposals that enhance the services of Youth & Family Guidance Center’s mental health, substance abuse, case management, prevention, and recovery support.
3. Preserve strong lines of communication and professional relationships with YFGC Ops team, KTHFS Leadership Team, Klamath Tribal Council, KTHFS Health Advisory Committee, Tribal Governmental Agencies, Oregon Health Authority, Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board, other community agencies, and KTHFS Service population overall.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
Strong leadership and supervisor skills o Must have strong leadership skills and a thorough understanding of team systems o Supervisory experience within a professional/provider service organization. o Experience working as a part of a multidisciplinary team.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION
REQUIRED to have a Master’s Degree in a behavioral health field with completion of educational requirements from a professionally approved and accredited educational program with appropriate licensure and/or certification. (Must submit copy of degree or transcripts with application), or 5 or more years’ experience in behavioral health care administration.
REQUIRED to possess a license as a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed Psychologist. Out of state professionals must be able to acquire an Oregon License within 6 months of hire. (Must submit copy of licensure with application).
REQUIRED to have a minimum of five (5) years of clinical supervisory experience.
