Administrative Assistant
Oregon Tech’s Integrated Student Health Center is seeking applications for an Administrative Assistant in the Student Health Department. This is a 12-month, full-time position located on the Klamath Falls campus in Klamath Falls, Oregon.

The successful applicant is expected to possess strong customer service skills, have the ability (with training) to: triage medical issues to determine appropriate scheduling, discern the difference between a mental health crisis and a student who is simply upset, to review medical documentation in order to determine immunization compliance, as well as processing, receiving, documenting, and releasing sensitive medical and mental health information appropriately.
Minimum Qualifications: Three years of office experience which included two years at full performance level and experience generating documents AND lead work responsibility or coordination of office procedures. Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a hectic work environment. Ability to prioritize tasks independently. Self-monitor in the absence of direct supervision. Ability to take initiative in the completion of projects and assignments. Knowledge of explaining policies and procedures (and the rationale for each) in a professional but firm manner.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a medical office setting working directly with patients. Experience working in HIPAA-bound settings in which crises can present unexpectedly (including, but not limited to physician offices, hospitals, urgent care, counseling clinics, police or EMT dispatch, psychiatric facilities, etc.).
