Job Title: Manager of College Union
Job Description: Oregon Tech is seeking applications for a Manager of the College Union, at the Klamath Falls campus. The College Union Manager is responsible for all operations of the department, including maintenance, personnel, finance, and scheduling of building usage and projects. Daily operations include serving customers/visitors, setting of building hours, staffing, setting/resetting of meeting rooms, audio/visual support, reserving rooms for campus and off campus groups, and responding to any emergencies within the building. This position reports to the Vice President for Student Affairs.
Preferred Qualifications: 5-8 years experience in an event/facility management position. 3-5 years supervisory experience of full-time and student employees. Experience working in higher education
Additional Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required in a related field Five (5) years experience such as events coordinator or personnel/facility management. Two (2) years of supervisory experience of full-time staff. Demonstrated experience interpreting and applying rules, policies, and procedures. Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. A record of commitment to customer service and the application of appropriate flexibility in response to issues and opposing points of view Ability to adapt to changing priorities Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, as well as databases and specialized programs. Ability to work, communicate, and collaborate in diverse, multicultural, and inclusive settings effectively and respectfully.
