Utility Billing Clerk
South Suburban Sanitary District is currently seeking applications for the position of Utility Billing Clerk.

The District is seeking a hard-working candidate with good analytical skills to be part of a specialized and dynamic team to serve the public. This important position is critical to the district’s utility billing. This position acts as the district cashier, receptionist and utility billing clerk, payroll and other accounting duties. Extensive staff, public and organizational contact and requires knowledge of the district’s policies, procedures and standards.
Minimum Qualifications: Associate's degree or equivalent experience; a valid class driver’s license; 2 years’ experience in an office setting, proficient with Microsoft Office 365; Ability to read, write and understand English; Proficient use of 10 key and computer keyboard. This is a safety sensitive position; successful candidate must pass a reference check, criminal background screen, pre-employment drug screen and physical medical exam.
Compensation: As of October 1, 2021: $19.81 - $25.34 per hour

Time Off: 40 hours paid vacation awarded after 6 months of hire; 80 hours vacation awarded annually upon employment anniversary 20 hours personal business leave awarded annually upon employment anniversary, and optional conversion of overtime to comp-time Paid sick time accrued at a rate of 8 hours per month (96 hours/year)
