OVERVIEW: Youth Rising is seeking a highly qualified, experienced, and efficient Regional Manager for the Northwest Region (CA, OR, ID) youth centers. As the Northwest Regional Manager, you will be managing and recruiting staff and interns, conducting daily operations of site maintenance, staffing, micro-budget management, reporting, and all oversight activities. The Regional Manager will be working directly under the Deputy Director to provide direct supportive services to meet the needs of Youth Rising Regional and National in accordance with the mission and vision of Youth Rising. This position has potential for growth and advancement.
RESPONSIBILITIES: • Work closely with interns, youth, and staff to foster a culture of positivity and excellence at a regional level • Coordinate trainings for personal development and workforce development across the Region • Oversee multiple on-site program goals, documentation, and reporting in Excel, OneDrive and Google Platforms • Manage daily operations of Regional Drop-In centers including staff supervision and reporting • Navigate and manage tracking systems for youth and staff development • Oversee Volunteer recruitment, organization and leadership and provide Volunteer training and education • Oversee support staff to maintain a calendar of outreach activities, including community events, workshops, appearances, and other communication opportunities. • Identify and recruit interns for various positions as well as contractors for the needs of the facility • Nurture new and old relationships with collaborative partners. • Schedule regular meetings with Operations & Programs Department and on-site staff • Prepare communications, such as memos, emails, invoices, reports, and other correspondence • Create and maintain filing systems, both electronic and physical with the assistance of support staff • Manage onsite micro budgets for events and operational needs • Manage local services to maintain the updates of the facility and request funding for additional needs • Budget management, oversight, and reporting for grant requirements and program expansion/ enhancement • Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word, Google Platform, email, computer and technology use (5+) • Supervision of staff, scheduling, facilitating meetings with agendas and meeting minutes • Travel to communities is required. • Duties involve working both indoors and outdoors. • Other duties as assigned by Executive Leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS: • Preferred master’s degree in social services or a related field. *A Bachelor's degree in a social services discipline may be considered depending on experience. Degrees that can be considered include: social work, drug and alcohol education or counseling, psychology, criminal justice, guidance counseling, or marriage and family therapy. Other degrees will have to be evaluated further to determine if they meet the qualifications. • Preferred 5+ years exp in youth-serving program management; Experience working with youth, individuals or families in need of crisis intervention is preferred • Outstanding written communication and • Strong experience preparing reports, data collection. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively. • Strong attention to detail and time management. • Outstanding oral/written communication skills, presentation skills, and strong organizational skills. • Valid Driver's License & Reliable vehicle • Must pass background check • Experience with community contacts, coordination, collaboration, and reporting. • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule • Preferred experience within non-profit fundraising or outreach activities. • Detail-orientated with the ability to manage multiple projects at one time. • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions as well as delegate • Ability to work independently and with staff as agency needs dictate. • Excellent understanding of finance-related performance standards • Proven ability to develop and execute organizational strategies • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Demonstrated knowledge of corporate and regulatory best practices • Organization and leadership skills • Strategic thinking and analytical skills • Candidates MUST be able to use e-mail, compose documents, save and locate documents electronically, and learn to use our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. • Proficiency in Word and other MS Office applications. • Incumbent is legally required to report all suspected incidents of child abuse/neglect.

PERSONAL QUALITIES: • Decision-making: Directors have to make independent decisions on a daily basis, addressing the best way to handle specific tasks. • Communications and collaboration: Directors must collaborate with other administrators and support personnel, management and service-recipients on a regular basis. • Organizational skills: Organization and prioritization are the core elements of the Director's responsibilities. You must know how to keep yourself and others organized and how to determine which tasks are the most important in a given list. • Writing: Spelling, punctuation, sentence structure and writing are essential to a Director, who must be proficient in a variety of styles, from creative to professional to technical to education and more.
REQUIREMENTS: • Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and car insurance. • Willingness to update job skills and knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and attending trainings. • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
POSITION TYPE & SCHEDULE: FTE (40 hours/week) Flexible; Monday - Friday 10 am - 7 pm; occasional weekends; may require travel *Schedule may include irregular hours, evenings, and/or weekends.
